|Ruby Lake is a private gated community as well as a deed restricted community. The Ruby Lake Homeowners Association, Inc. is a "not for profit corporation" and was formed on September 10, 1997.|
As a private gated community, the 214 homeowners of Ruby Lake are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the roads, common grounds and infrastructure. The funds to carry out this responsibility come from the Annual Assessment. The annual assessment for calendar year 2011 is $525.
As a deed restricted community, there are certain restrictions attached to each lot in Ruby Lake. All homeowners are expected to keep up with the general maintainence of their home and grounds. However, before beginning structural modifications, painting, or installing fences, homeowners must receive approval from the Board of Directors Architectural Control Committee. A copy of the approval form can be accessed on the Documents page.
The Declarations of Covenants, Conditions, Easements and Restrictions list the Use Restrictions which detail those activities that are prohibited. Two examples are 1) no truck, camper, boat or any vehicle other than a private passenger vehicle shall be parked, stored or kept in any uncovered parking space and 2) no satellite TV reception dish shall exceed 19" in diameter and shall not be placed within the front yard of any resident or lot.
